Lombardi star Judith Light has joined the cast of the ABC pilot Other People's Kids, according to Deadline.com.
Written by Hunter Covington and directed by Michael Fresco, the TV series will follow a carefree 32-year-old (Jesse Bradford) who suddenly finds himself thrown into the crazy family life of his new, older girlfriend Michelle (Bonnie Sommerville). Light will play Michelle's ex-mother-in-law, an eccentric woman heavily involved in all family matters.
The project will mark a return to TV for Light, who is best known for her work on such shows as Who's The Boss and Ugly Betty. She received two Emmy Awards for One Life to Live. Her many other TV credits include Law & Order: SVU, The Stones, Twenty Good Years, Phenom, Family Ties, St. Elsewhere and Spin City.
